Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP)
Over 40 years ago, the 4A's founded the MAIP (Multicultural Advertising Internship Program) in New York City. This program was created to help bring young and diverse talent into the advertising industry. All students accepted into the program are admitted through an application process and are set up with full-time paid internships with some of the top advertising agencies in the world. MAIP Interns get hands-on experience at their internships by working with high profle clients, attending industry seminars and networking with industry professionals.
Media Planning Intern, OMD
I was selected for the MAIP Program in February 2015 and was selected for an internship with Omnicom Media Group. While there, I gained experience in media strategy by working for Omnicom's media agency, OMD. During my time at OMD, I managed millennial insight for the Lowe's Home Improvement account. At the end of the summer, I presented my insights to the strategy team and helped them utilize the insights for future planning.
